Interestingly, as i was rattling on about the twelve days of Christmas, i came across a site that explained what it’s all about. Far too boring to make me read all of it, i noticed a couple of interesting points in the beginning.
The twelve days of Christmas are in fact the twelve days after Christmas, not before!
Also, rather than being a silly song…the words apparently came from the 16th century and the religious wars that took place in the UK. Each day’s gift has hidden meanings which help to convey the basic facts about Christianity! True love for instance refers to God himself!
