Lunar Eclipse

Posted on Saturday 3 March 2007

My well-informed friend Suzy told me last night that there’s going to be a total lunar eclipse tonight! A solar eclipse is where our moon is directly in line with the earth and blocks our view of the sun, a lunar eclipse is where they are all in line again, but the earth is blocking the moon’s view of the sun. This can only happen during a full moon, and it’s set to happen tonight between 6pm and 2am (i think)!

Should be interesting….meant to be a relatively cloud-free night…so get out and have a look up to see if you see anything interesting!
