I’m still rather undecided how much we should be celebrating. I think it’s great that we now have an independent party in the majority, but they only have a 1 seat majority and they’re not over the 65 seat threshold to form a majority government, so it’s a hung parliament. Does this mean that we are embracing the true essence of democracy where nothing can be done without the support of other parties, or does it just mean that nothing will get done because the biggest party won’t have enough support!

I’m still undecided on it all to be honest. I think that this highlights a major change in Scottish opinion though. For the first time, SNP show that they really are a force to be reckoned with…perhaps 30 years too late…but hey ho!
